President Bush has crawled out from under the rock he has been hiding under in Crawford, Texas to sign a pile of ‘Disaster Declarations’.

This will enable the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to move tons of supplies into the states effected by Hurricane Katrina.

Generators, water, ice and food and other emergency commodities will be moved into the region for immediate deployment once the storm passes.

What is FEMA?

Herman, the spokescrab for FEMA can tell you all about it on their website.

http://www.fema.gov/kids/

The website also teaches children how to be prepared for disasters and prevent disaster damage. They can learn what causes disasters, play games, read stories and become a Disaster Action Kid.

Federal Emergency Management Agency became part of the Department of Homeland Security on March 1, 2003.

FEMA helps people before and after a disaster. FEMA is called in to help when the President declares a disaster.

Disasters are "declared" normally after hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes or other similar events strike a community.

The Governor of the state must ask for help from the President before FEMA can respond.

In the case of Hurricane Katrina apparently the State Governors or Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi asked for help or President Bush jumped the gun. These ‘Disaster Declarations’ have been signed before the disaster happened.

It seems that President Bush has taken the idea of protecting Americans a bit too far. Having failed to protect Americans from the Arabs he now intends to protect us from God.
